The Game

I want to stay in the game

even if I must play hurt

I plan to stay all the same.

My focus I will not divert

I will see this all the way through

My one goal I cannot desert.

I may get knocked down, it’s true

but I will rise and restart

that is what I’m built to do.

In the beginning, I pledged my heart

I agreed to it all when I came

I would do nothing short of my part.

To sum up my complete aim

I will stay in this whole game.
