I feel sorry for the kids today

who will never know the magic

of the season in that special way.

When Christmas took forever to arrive

oh, the anticipation!

Waiting, waiting, waiting

for that day of celebration

was difficult for this little heart of mine.

But now it seems, the calendar moves so fast

and Christmas Day rolls around in no time.
