I think a lot of people have social anxiety, I’m sure I have at times in my life. I remember my mother used to blush in conversation, strangely only on her neck, not her face. It used to really embarrass her if my dad kindly pointed it out to her. He had a habit of saying the wrong thing at the wrong moment! 😉
You never point out a person’s red face! That should be the number one rule of etiquette out there. It’s not and for some reason people feel like they need to point it out. It is not necessary though 🙂 I totally understand your mom on this one 🙂
I know, it’s like pointing out a scar – the worst thing anyone could do. My dad was known for his inappropriate remarks. When he was an old man, he seemed a lot more sensitive to other peoples sensitivities, it was lovely to see an old dog learn new tricks! 😉
Most people don’t realize what they’re saying anyway. Glad he learned new tricks – not everyone does 🙂
