Standing at the front door

looking in, looking in

remembering

what it feels like to be inside.

 

One step out is all it took

Now one step, one step in

to begin again

to turn my life upside right.

 

A little bit of courage

is what it will take

to heal this ache

I have inside my heart.

 

I’m not known for bravery

this I know, don’t I know

but here I go

back home for a new start.
