It’s not the life we were given
when we were sent down from heaven
that will determine our fate in the vast eternity.
It will be the choices we make
and all the little steps we take
to rise above and make better wherever we may be.
Don’t wait for a hero to save you
there is no excuse not to do –
be brave, dig deep and find the power within.
Only you can rise above
and make your life about love
even if you have to come from behind to win!

Very true! I’ve gone beyond waiting for heroes to save me, and the choices we make are everything! 🙂
There just seems to be a lot of victims out there always blaming someone or something for their circumstance. I hate when I fall into that “Pity me” trap. Bleah! As my grandma used to say, “You have two feet on the ground – you can do it!”
