How are we here already?

The calendar is telling me

it is the end of August.

That just feels a tad-bit rushed.

The math is wrong, it cannot be.

I surely would like to discuss

who’s pulling a fast one on us.

Labor Day comes quicker every year

then Halloween will be here

and tomorrow will be Christmas.

I still have so much to do!

So, calendar let me ask you,

one itsy-bitsy, small favor –

between August and September

sneak in an extra month or two?
