I’m so sorry –
I’m sorry you hate me so.
Whatever I did,
I really do not know.
But your actions
do not speak of love –
only anger
from a heart grown tough.
You smile sweetly
and even begin a debate,
“Oh, I love you,” you say,
“I definitely don’t hate.”
From your lips ‘love’
comes out calculated and cool
and with your actions
you make me the pitiful fool.
How much venom
can one heart hold
before it shuts down
and is forever cold?
Hate and happiness
can’t coexist together –
like light and dark
they fight with each other.
For your sake,
please, please let it go.
I am so sorry,
sorry you hate me so.
