Wow! Life took a turn for you, didn’t it? No one saw that coming, not even you. And now there you are, sitting in the middle of all the broken pieces.

I don’t know why this has happened. I don’t know what you could have done different. I do know that what you are feeling is very real so I won’t try to offer empty platitudes as bandaids.

Words won’t heal.

So, when your sun doesn’t shine and the night gets cold I will come and find you in the dark. When it all gets off track and you lose your why I will come and sit with you. We can sit in the quiet after I say I love you.

Those words will remind you that you are not alone.

We will sit as long as you need for you to catch your breath again.

And when you are strong enough to stand, I will stand with you.

When you are able to walk again, I will walk with you.

I will always be by your side.

And I hope when the time comes, I will be strong enough to fulfill this promise.
